Dr. Mee-Shew Cheung is an Associate Professor of Marketing and International Business at the Williams College of Business, Xavier University. She teaches International Marketing and international business related courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and executive levels.

Dr. Cheung holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and International Business from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Before her academic career, she held a senior financial and strategic management position at a consulting firm with regional offices across Asia, and had been assigned to work in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong and China. She also served as visiting faculty at the Great Wall MBA program in Tianjin, China in the summer of 2006 and 2007.  She enjoys cross-cultural learning and research, and has participated in faculty development programs in South Africa, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina. Dr. Cheung's research interests include global supply chain management, interorganizational learning theories and marketing strategies in global subsistence marketplaces. Her work has been accepted for publication in several Financial Times Top 45 Journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Operations Management, MIT-Sloan Management Review, and other outlets such as Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of World Business, International Journal of Management and Decision Making

Dr. Cheung received the Williams College of Business Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2007. She was awarded the O'Conor Research Fellowship in 2008-2011, and again in 2011-14 in recognition of her outstanding academic research. For year 2010-11, she was a recipient of the Downing Research Scholarship.  In 2012, she received the Global Leadership Award by the Management and Entrepreneurship Department at Xavier. Her contributions toward the advancement of women at Xavier University were recognized by Xavier Women in Business in 2012. She was also the recipient of the Williams College of Business Merit Faculty Award in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Dr. Cheung enjoys international traveling. She has visited 31 countries, and has lived and worked in 8 different countries.  Dr. Cheung also serves as a corporate trainer in cross-cultural learning. She coaches senior business executives across the nation and prepares them for overseas assignments. She specializes in Asian cultural values, business customs and practices.
