Biography:
Dr. Rhonda L. Norman, a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC-S), and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling. She earned her doctorate at the University of Cincinnati in Counselor Education and Supervision. Dr. Norman holds a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Master of Education in Human Resource Development. She has over twenty years of clinical counseling, consultation and supervision experience within employee assistance, university counseling, addictions and family/adolescent services. Dr. Norman maintains a small private practice in the Greater Cincinnati area. She is also a licensed independent chemical dependency counselor (LICDC) with the supervision endorsement. Dr. Norman's past experience includes Employee Assistance Consultant for Health Alliance of Cincinnati, Employee Assistance Counselor with Bethesda Concern EAP, a Staff Counselor with Xavier University Health /Counseling Center, Alcohol/Drug Counselor Talbert House DUI program and an in-home Family Counselor with Light House Youth Services. Dr. Norman's research interests include, women's career development and behavior in organizations, supervision of professional counselors, racial identity attitudes, cross - cultural counseling, mentoring, alcohol, drug and gambling addiction. Dr. Norman has conducted several presentations nationally, regionally and locally in the area of competencies related to cross-cultural supervision and strengthening the supervision relationship.
