Biography:
Percussionist and Timpanist Brady Harrison leads an active career, drawing from an extremely diverse musical background. Brady has played throughout the US, Europe, and Asia and his experiences have included everything from drum corps, jazz, and chamber music, to symphonic performance. An active educator, Brady is Adjunct Professor of Music in Percussion at Xavier University, where he also teaches music history. Additionally, he teaches percussion for the CCM Preparatory Department and maintains a thriving, fully equipped, private teaching studio in his home. He is the artist-in-residence for the 2005-2006 year at Queen of Angels Montessori School in Cincinnati and is currently writing a collection of snare drum etudes, called Time, Frequency, and Dynamic, based on interpolation of the works of contemporary visual artist Ellsworth Kelly.
