Campus Ministry

We encourage you to stop by and meet our staff!

Deanna Martin, Associate Director

Deanna was born and raised in a small town outside of Mansfield, OH. From there she made her way to Athens, OH and Ohio University where she completed her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education in 1999. Inspired by her volunteer experiences with retreat ministry, alternative breaks and outreach to youth she moved to Cincinnati where she became the Director of Youth Ministry for a large Catholic Parish. After 4 years of serving as a youth minister she made the transition into college campus ministry and worked for one year at the College of Mount St. Joseph. She then happily joined the Xavier community campus ministry program and has been here since 2004. Most recently she has completed her Master’s of Education at Xavier and is now a Licensed Professional Counselor. In her spare time she enjoys visits to the dog park, playing guitar, making pottery, and spending time with family and friends.

Al Bischoff, S.J., Campus Minister

"Fr.B" as he is known, is best imaged as an old shoe. He has been around a long time and shows the wear and tear of having lived a long time. However, as he says, "The wrapping is not the gift." Inside of him is a youthful kid that loves being in college and hanging around. For some he is a source of wisdom. For others, he can be a challenge. For all he is a friend. He would enjoy meeting you. He resides in Husman Hall.
