Activities, Clubs & Organizations
In the Jesuit tradition, campus ministry provides opportunities and activities that enable students to respond to the invitation of St. Ignatius Loyola to find God in all things. The office provides opportunities for worship and spiritual development for those of all faith traditions.
The Xavier University Club Sports Program currently has 29 active clubs under the direction of the Club Sports Council. The XUCS Program is designed to serve the interests of Xavier University students, faculty and staff through various sports and recreational activities.
Xavier's leadership development programs provide avenues to enhance students' leadership abilities while increasing their awareness of civic responsibility. Leadership development includes opportunities for practical leadership experiences in combination with reflection and discussion. On this foundation, it works to instill in all students an understanding of leadership principles and the ability to apply this knowledge to the campus and beyond.
Peace and justice programs at Xavier University seek to educate, empower and affirm a community interested in building a more compassionate, just world through social action and community service. Working in cooperation with all areas of campus life, the program serves the university community as a meeting point celebrating the Jesuit call for service of faith and the promotion of justice.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs seeks to educate the entire campus around issues that affect students of color at Xavier. Cultural programming, diversity workshops and partnerships with colleagues on campus are the primary vehicles for raising awareness and understanding.
Xavier orientation programs seek to provide welcome information to all potential and newly enrolled Musketeers. The mission of Xavier University's various orientation programs is to provide continuing service and assistance that informs prospective and new students of the broad educational opportunities at Xavier; to assist new students in their transition to the institution; and to integrate the new students into the Xavier University family.
The Mission of the Recreational Sports Department is to provide the Xavier community with the finest programs, services, facilities, and equipment in an effort to enhance the learning opportunity and to foster a lifetime appreciation of the total development (body, mind, spirit) experience.
The Office of Student Involvement is committed to assisting students as they journey toward becoming civic-minded leaders, at Xavier University and beyond. This is accomplished by providing students the opportunity to attend, participate in and lead student groups and events.
