| The mission of the Cintas
Institute for Business Ethics at Xavier is to help students
and other Xavier stakeholders recognize and deal with
ethical and values-related issues in the workplace.
A significant goal of this mission is to be a resource
for the local, regional and national business and professional
communities. One way of fulfilling this goal is to provide
workshops and keynote addresses for groups and organizations.
Both the director, Professor Paul Fiorelli, and Assistant
Professor, Ann Marie Tracey (Hamilton County Common
Pleas Judge, Retired) have spoken to numerous groups
about the importance of business ethics. These groups
have ranged from commercial realtors to business people
from Azerbaijan.
The Institute has embarked on a new initiative of providing
ethics related professional education. In the wake of
the recent corporate scandals, most professionals realize
the need for this important discussion. Professors Fiorelli
and Tracey have designed several workshops targeted
towards satisfying the continuing education needs for
accountants and attorneys. For example, the “Reel
CLE” Continuing Legal Education (CLE) session
is a lively, interactive session that has been pre-approved
to satisfy the Ohio CLE requirements of one hour of
professionalism, one hour of ethics and one-half hour
of substance abuse training.
The Institute is also available to design workshops
tailored to your specific organization, firm or industry.
To discuss new workshops or keynote speeches, please
contact Paul Fiorelli directly at 513 745-2050, or his
administrative assistant, Laura Randall at 513 745-3564.
