Biology Programs
Biology Major
All biology majors complete 20 semester credit hours of required biology courses including General Biology I, General Biology II, Genetics, Vertebrate Physiology and Methods of Biological Research, plus 16 semester hours of biology electives.
Majors must also complete eight semester hours of physics, 16 semester hours of chemistry (including organic), and six semester hours of mathematics. In these other science areas, students find the background and techniques for carrying on analytical studies in biology.

*** For medical school requirements, take PHYS 160 – 163 in the sophomore year and Biology electives in the junior year, including BIOL 440 in the fall of the junior year and BIOL 354, 355 in the spring of junior year. Social Sciences must be PSYC 101 and SOCI 101. A minimum of 120 credit hours is required for the degree.
