Door Access Information
Your Xavier University ALL Card is your key to accessing the exterior doors of our Residence Halls as well as the Off-site MBA classrooms in Westchester and Deerfield Township.
As of August 2009 if you reside in the Commons the ALL Card is your apartment and bedroom key as well. The Commons is our first totally keyless building on campus.
If you are a campus resident and/or are pre-authorized for access, you simply swipe your card through the card readers at the entrance to each residence hall or classroom to gain access to the building.
Residents of the following buildings are automatically granted access to the facility in which they reside:
- Brockman Hall, Buenger Hall, The Commons, Husman Hall and Kuhlman Hall.
Upcoming Door Access Projects:
January 2010 - Brockman Hall - Resident Hall rooms and Community Restrooms
Summer 2010 - Williams College of Business, Conaton Learning Commons and Central Utility Plant - all perimter doors and some interiors and elevators
IMPORTANT: If you live in Brockman Hall you need to be aware that it will be going totally keyless just as the Commons is now. When you come back from Winter Break in January your ALL Card will be your key to your dorm room and for the community restrooms. So make sure you don't leave your card at home during break.
The following offices are the only ones with authority to grant access to secured facilities:
- Campus Police, Physical Plant, Auxiliary Services, MBA Office and Residence Life.
A Request for Access form can be downloaded using the link on the left, and must be signed by an authorized person in one of the departments listed above.
