Leadership at the Center
The Center's Founding Director, Michael F. Ford, a Xavier graduate, returned to campus after nearly 40 years in politics, government and corporate work. He served in nine presidential campaigns and more than 100 gubernatorial, US Senate and House and mayoralty races across the country. He was Executive Assistant to the Governor of Ohio and Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Cincinnati.
Ford served as Senior Advisor to the Executive Vice President for Internet Operations at Citibank. He has also worked with a number of Internet start-ups, and is the Founder of Geniusrocket.com, a user-generated advertisement platform.
He has an MA (Government) from Georgetown and his BA (Political Science) is from Xavier. He was a Graduate Fellow at the Institute of Public Administration at Penn State University.

Director of Administration
Dr. Roger Fortin joined Xavier University in 1966 as an Assistant Professor of History. During his 45 years at the University he was promoted to the rank of Professor, served as Chair of the History Department, and performed various administrative duties, ranging from Dean and Associate Academic Vice President to Academic Vice President and Provost from 2001-2011.
Fortin's areas of specialty are the American Revolution, U. S. Intellectual History, and the American Character. He has published several articles and books on various aspects of American history, including -- more recently -- Faith and Action: A History of the Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati (Ohio State University Press, 2002) and To See Great Wonders: A History of Xavier University, 1831-2006 (Scranton University Press, 2006).
