Located in the heart of campus, Bellarmine Chapel is the religious hub of Xavier. Mass is celebrated daily in either the main sanctuary or side chapel. In addition to worship services, the church offers mission work, religious education and small group opportunities for study. The work of the Center includes conferences, research and publications, and interfaith and interreligious activities. It also aims to explore new forms of collaborative engagement on issues of religious, social and cultural diversity, social and economic justice, ecological sustainability and local and global responsibility.
Programs and activities
Most of the Center's programs are free and open to the public. For a full and current listing of the programs and activities, visit the web site. Or if you or your organization has an idea for a program that you think fits with the Center's mission, please contact the Center.
Center for Faith and Justice
The Dorthy Day Center for Faith and Justice challenges and supports students as they deepen their spiritual lives, pursue justice and promote pluralism.
Inspired by Ignatian spirituality and Catholic Social Teaching, the Center is built on the invitation to find God in all things and the principles of solidarity and the common good. The doors of the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice are open to all.
Ethics/Religion and Society
In keeping with the University's unique Ethics/Religion and Society academic focus-encouraging the ethical and religious analysis of socially significant issues-a lecture series is held that brings to campus prominent intellectuals and public leaders with diverse perspectives on a specific issue. The lectures are open to alumni. View the current lecture series schedule.
Resource Center
The E/RS program also offers alumni access to a resource center with documents ranging from bioethics to women's studies.
Interfaith Community
