Ohio Superintendent License
In addition to M.Ed. in Educational Administration or equivalent M.Ed. & licensure courses listed above, candidates must complete six (6) semester hours in their specialty area. Total semester hours needed for Administration Ohio Superintendent License is 57 hours.

Kentucky Licensure Options*
Students are required to meet an academic advisor for an individual transcript evaluation and academic plan prior to beginning the program. An appointment may be arranged by contacting the department office at 513-745-3701. Student must also submit Kentucky Rank II Teaching Certification from the Education Professional Standards Board, Frankfort, Kentucky indicating master’s degree to an Educational Administration advisor.
KENTUCKY ALL GRADE PRINCIPAL LICENSE
Prerequisite for the Kentucky Certification Program is a master’s degree.
Level I
- EDFD 505 Educational Administration (3 hours)
- EDAD 543 Supervision of Instruction (3 hours)
- EDAD 548 Principalship (3 hours)
- EDAD 570 Planning, Evaluation, and Assessment (3 hours)
- EDAD 660 Curriculum Design/Teaching Strategies (3 hours)
- EDAD 565 School Law (3 hours)
Upon completion of the courses listed above, approved program contract and subsequent assessments via Kentucky’s Education Professional Standards Board, students may apply for the Level I All Grade Principal’s Certification through Xavier University. Within five years upon receiving the Level I certification, students complete the courses below and apply for the Level II certification through Xavier University.

KENTUCKY SUPERINTENDENT LICENSE
Prerequisite for the Kentucky Certification Program is a master’s degree.
Kentucky superintendent licensure candidates must have 36 semester hours above their ME.d., complete Level I and Level II listed above for Kentucky All Grade Principal and the following courses:

- EDAD 788 Superintendent Internship (3 hours)
- EDAD 563 School Business Affairs and Physical Facilities (3 hours)
KENTUCKY SUPERVISOR OF INSTRUCTION LICENSE
Prerequisite for the Kentucky Certification Program is a master’s degree.
Level I
