Shari Mickey-Boggs
Senior Associate Vice President for Human Resources
Shari Mickey-Boggs is currently the Senior Associate Vice President for Human Resources at Xavier University. She joined Xavier as Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer in November 2007 and is responsible for the strategic and operational planning for all human resources functions. Ms. Mickey-Boggs has over 20 years of human resources experience in both private and public sectors.
Before coming to Xavier, Ms. Mickey-Boggs served for 15 years in the higher education arena having served in several leadership positions with The Ohio State University. One former key role was as Director of Work/Life where she spearheaded culture transformation in support of women and providing a work environment that is healthy, supportive and considerate of employees' work and personal life obligations. Prior to work at Ohio State, Ms. Mickey-Boggs’ industry experience includes retail, health care, and government.
As the Senior Associate Vice President, she oversees Benefits & Wellness, Compensation & Rewards, Employee Relations, HR Policy & Planning, Human Resources Development, Onboarding, & Workforce Planning & Employment.
Ms. Mickey-Boggs was appointed in July 2012 to the Executive Board for the American Council of Education Ohio Women’s Network (ACE-OWN) and is currently serving on the Human Resources Committee for the United Way organization in Cincinnati. She is a member of the College and University Work Family Association, the Colleges & University Professional Association for Human Resources and the Society for Human Resource Management. She has spoken regionally and nationally on human resources topics with the above membership organizations as well as the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, the Alliance for Work Life Progress, the Association of Jesuit Colleges & Universities, and Gallup.
Ms. Mickey-Boggs holds an MBA from Franklin University in Columbus and a BA in Political Science from The Ohio State University.
She is part of a dual-career family and has two children, Isabelle and Wiatt.
