David Dodd
Vice President for Information Resources and Chief Information Officer
In the position of Vice President for Information Resources and CIO at Xavier, Dodd has comprehensive responsibility for information technology, the University Library, web development, instructional technology, and strategic information resources with a central focus in supporting excellence in teaching and learning through the use of information technology and digital information resources.
Dodd has twenty-five years experience in information technology in business, research and development, and higher education, with the majority of that time in senior management positions providing leadership in the development of integrated technology and support solutions. He holds a masters degree from the State University of New York in Binghamton and is completing a Ph.D. in higher education administration. Dodd has been an active writer, presenter, and speaker at industry conferences including EDUCAUSE. He currently serves on the EDUCAUSE Nomination and Election Committee, and has served on various program committees.
