Cheryl Nunez
Assistant to the President for Diversity and Equity
On May 2, 2005, Cheryl Nuñez, became Xavier University’s first Vice Provost for Diversity and in August 2011 was named Assistant to the President for Diversity and Equity. Prior to coming to Xavier, Nuñez served as director for affirmative action and multicultural affairs at Northern Kentucky University for nine years. She has also served in various professional capacities for the Cincinnati Public Schools, N.I.P. Magazine, the American Jewish Committee, the Council on Opportunity in Graduate Management Education, and the Procter & Gamble Company. Nuñez holds an A.B.from Harvard in English and American Literature and Language; and an M.Ed. in Educational Foundations from the University of Cincinnati.
