Dr. Mee-Shew Cheung holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and International Business from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She joined Xavier University as an Assistant Professor of Marketing in 2005. Her dissertation, “Inter-Firm Knowledge Sharing and Its Effect on Relationship Value: A Global Supply Chain Perspective,” is a cross-national study, and it incorporates both collaboration and learning theories to investigate the impact of inter-firm knowledge sharing on both relationship value and supply chain performance. Her work has been accepted for publication in MIT-Sloan Management Review, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of World Business, International Journal of Management and Decision Making, and several other conference proceedings in the fields of marketing and international business. Dr. Cheung’s research interests include the role of global supply chain management in the development and implementation of global marketing strategy. She has taught courses in Principles of Marketing, Demand Management, International Marketing, Service Marketing, and Integrated Marketing Communications, at the undergraduate and graduate level. Before her academic career, she held a senior financial and administrative management position at a consulting firm with regional offices across Asia, and had been assigned to work in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong and China. Dr. Cheung is currently the Academic Advisor for the Marketing Club at Xavier. She received the Williams College of Business Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2007. Most recently, she was awarded the O'Conor Research Fellowship.
