Guidelines for Continuing Education Units for supervision of fieldwork students
For Ohio Occupational Therapy Licensure Renewal:
Continuing Education units may be earned for supervision of Level Two fieldwork students only for state licensure renewal.

Supervision of fieldwork. Continuing education credit can be earned by supervising level II students. One contact hour may be earned for every eighty hours of student supervision completed, with a maximum of eight contact hours per renewal cycle. Proof of student supervision will be a certificate of supervision from the student's school or the student's completed evaluation form.

For NBCOT Certification Renewal:
Continuing Education Units or Professional Development Units may be earned for supervision of Level One Fieldwork or Level Two Fieldwork students.

16. Level II fieldwork direct supervision (must not be one's primary role). 1 unit per 1 week of supervision per student supervised 18 units for professional role Letter of verification from school that includes the dates of fieldwork. DO NOT submit student evaluation form as verification. Co-supervision is acceptable; record dates and times when acting as primary student supervisor. Supervision of more than one student at a time is acceptable; record dates and times of supervision provided to each student. Apply appropriate PDU number based on time spent supervising.
17. Level I fieldwork direct supervision (must not be one's primary role). 1 unit per Student 18 units for professional role Letter of verification from school including dates of fieldwork AND documented learning objectives and outcomes for the student.
