“I'm moving to Seminole, Florida in August, 2005, simply because I can't stand the winters here any more. It's located in the Tampa Bay/ Clearwater area. I've been looking in that area for a while and in the process got a great offer for an OT position at Innovative Senior Care, an upscale retirement community in the area. Their benefits are unbelievable, and it also affords me the opportunity to follow another one of my dreams, to live on or near the beach. They also pay for unlimited CEU's, so I can start learning about Hand therapy, something I've always wanted to do. I'm sure I'll get a bartending job there also just so I can meet some people. I've been so busy lately, traveling all over the country, I'm really looking forward to settling down. I am going use my VA home loan to buy a house in Florida that doesn't need any work and has a pool and patio in the backyard.” Update from 4-2006 Here are pictures new buddy "Rocky", and from a fishing trip to Key West in Jan. 2007

update 1-31-08“I finished my MHS at University of Indianapolis last fall and am currently looking at PhD programs. I am still at CCHMC and will be moving to the new Liberty Township facility when it opens this summer — I have been doing a lot looking at programming for various diagnoses, especially autism and CP, and we are going to offer therapy groups and intensives that we have not previously been able to offer in the past due to space issues. Liberty is huge compared to our other departments! I will be very sad to leave Dana, though. I am getting to pursue my goal of doing research and am hopeful to have a couple of projects in the works in the next couple of months. Jim and I have been together for almost three years. He is now flying for a company that flies bank documents, so he is in town every night and off on weekends and bank holidays which is nice and very different from his last job.” Update on 6-12-08: Vicki and Jim are engaged now.

I actually work for the company that took over in the facility that I worked at in Cincinnati when I was traveling. I am a little over-worked and missing the traveling a little, but hopefully the 10-12 hour days will end as soon as the new COTA comes on later this week!
