Clinical Nurse Leader
The role of the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) is significant for health care and has potential to measurably improve quality, safety, and continuity of health care. Many healthcare institutions have found that the CNL has saved their institutions many dollars by decreasing infections, unnecessary procedures, and assuring continuity of care.
The post-master’s Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) certificate program is a 4 semester, 21 credit part-time curriculum that enables experienced nurses with a previous master’s degree in nursing to:
- Complete required coursework for the Clinical Nurse Leader,
- Become eligible to take the CNL certificate exam, and
- Receive documentation of the completed coursework on an official Xavier University transcript.
